Greetings,
My name is Woody Moore, and I have the joy and privilege of serving as the pastor of Christ Covenant Church with my wonderful wife, Margaret at my side. We have two children: our daughter Lilly, who is married to Dillon Norris, and together they are the proud parents of our twin grandchildren, Olivia and Cade; and our son Will, who is married to his wife Jordan. I am deeply thankful for the love and support of my family as we walk this journey of faith together.
People often ask me, “Why start a new church? Why not pursue one of the many pastoral opportunities in our county or nearby?” I wrestled with that very question myself for months. But throughout that time, I could not shake the clear and persistent prompting of the Lord to step out in faith and move forward with planting this church. I trust that if God is the one leading us, then He will provide everything needed to establish a church that is faithful, fruitful, and a blessing to this community.
At Christ Covenant Church, our mission is to bring glory to the God of creation—the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Savior of all who place their faith in Him. Our aim is to preach, teach, and stand firmly on the infallible Word of God in a culture that increasingly pushes against biblical truth.
We are a body of imperfect people who have been redeemed by a perfect, holy, and righteous God. We believe that God’s greatest desire is for you to know Him through a personal relationship with His Son, Jesus Christ. Our prayer is to be a church that loves the Lord our God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength—and to love our neighbors as ourselves.
We would be honored to have you join us. Our worship service is on Sunday mornings at 10:00 AM, and we gather again on Wednesday nights at 6:00 PM for Bible study and prayer. We meet at 116 Norris Lane, Morgantown, KY. Everyone is welcome, and we’d love to see you soon at Christ Covenant Church!
